Mr. Leng Hoe Lon is Global Head of FX Flow & EM Linear Rates Trading Global Markets, AEJ at Nomura Singapore. He also leads Nomura’s Cross Markets proprietary trading business in Asia.

Hoe Lon has 25 years of experience in trading and investing in financial markets. He started his career at Deutsche Bank, followed by trading roles across Asia and London with JP Morgan, ABN AMRO, Goldman Sachs, and Tudor Capital. Prior to joining Nomura, Hoe Lon was Head of Financial Markets (Singapore, Brunei and Australia) and Head of Macro Trading (ASEAN and South Asia) at Standard Chartered Bank.

In addition to his sellside and buyside experience, Hoe Lon has been a founder, advisor, and investor of various startups in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Blockchain. He has published two books: Decrypted – A Financial Trader’s Take on Cryptocurrency and Deflated – How To Find Your Footing in a Shaky Blockchain Investment World.

Hoe Lon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Warwick, and he is a CFA charterholder.

Ms Stefanie Holtze-Jen

Stefanie Holtze-Jen is the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management of the International Private Bank for APAC. She is responsible for all discretionary mandates such as multi-asset portfolios, fixed income portfolios and equity portfolios.

Holtze-Jen was most recently Global Chief Currency Strategist, Portfolio Manager, at asset manager DWS, where she coordinated a team to guide the portfolio managers on strategy in foreign-exchange exposure covering the macro view, positioning and technical analysis.

Based in Singapore, she is responsible for the development for the Asian part of the house view of Deutsche Bank International Private Bank. Prior to DWS, Holtze-Jen held different leadership roles at Commerzbank AG and Royal Bank of Canada in Hong Kong, Singapore and London.

Holtze-Jen is a member of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Committee under the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She was nominated and is serving as Co-Vice Chair of the Global Foreign Exchange Committee for a two-year term.

Mr Alex Shterenberg

Alex Shterenberg is a Managing Director and Global Head of G10 and EM EFX Trading at Barclays, based in London.
Alex joins us after five years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was Global Head of FX Algorithmic Execution, and Head of eFX Trading for the Americas. In this role he developed and oversaw cutting-edge pricing and hedging models.

Previously, Alex was at JP Morgan for six years, most recently as Global Head of FX Execution Services where he founded the FX algo business, and designed and implemented new algos, TCA models and tools. Before that, he was responsible for risk management in JPMorgan’s Automated Trading Strategies group. He has also worked as a senior consultant and developer at Broadway Technology after starting his banking career in Equities Market Data and Trade Execution Technology at UBS.
Alex graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Aerospace Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr James Ellery

With over 32 years experience covering Asia Pacific, 25 years of which based in the region, Kevin has held a number of global and regional sales management roles within investment banking.

Most recently he was Global Co-Head of Corporate Coverage & Head of Asia Pacific Institutional Coverage at Deutsche Bank, & Global Head of Relationship Management for Institutions. He was Global Head of Sales for Financial Markets at Standard Chartered, & also Global Head of Funds Solutions and Investor Solutions for Barclays Capital.
Extensive experience of multiple client channels across asset management, wealth management & corporate coverage for both investment banking and transaction banking products.

He holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Toxicology and Pharmacology with First Class Honours from the School of Pharmacy, University of London, & an M.Sc in Management (Industrial Relations) from the University of Oxford.

Kevin served on the Executive Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore for 5 years, is an advisory Board Member for the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) in Asia, and a Singapore Board member for the education charity U-Go, helping ambitious and promising young women in low-income countries to pursue higher education.

 

Mr Li Zhen

Mr Li Zhen is the Deputy Head of FX and Commodity Derivatives Trading and Structuring desk as well as the product owner for DigiFXO – DBS in-house FX Derivatives pricing and distribution engine.

He joins DBS in 2010 and has over a decade of trading and portfolio management experiences in various G7 and Emerging Markets’ FX derivatives markets. In Mr Li’s current role, he focuses on growing FX Derivatives franchise, and leads the team for FX investment, hedging solutions and product structuring at DBS. As a product and solution specialist, Mr Li also leads various quantitative and digitisation efforts at Treasury & Markets.

Prior to joining DBS, Mr Li was a FX Options trader at UOB. He holds a Master of Financial Engineering degree from UC Berkeley under MAS Scholarship.

Mr Jason Norman Lee

Jason is currently Managing Director, Head of Regulatory & Compliance in Temasek and based in Singapore. He has more than 20 years of experience providing legal and regulatory advice in global financial markets.

Jason’s focus areas are in complex derivatives, financial regulation (including sanctions), technology and data, commodities, FDI regimes and private equity. He has also led and managed restructurings and workouts, regulatory investigations and compliance programs across diverse business areas and geographies. Jason is an active participant in various industry bodies and initiatives and speaks regularly at industry events. His current focus includes ESG regulations and sustainability standards.

Jason is qualified in four different jurisdictions and has practiced in a variety of in-house and practice roles in London, Singapore, and Sydney. Prior to joining Temasek, Jason spent 13 at a global investment bank where he held senior leadership functions in APAC.

Dr Joanne Khew

Dr. Joanne Khew has more than 12 years of experience in ESG and Sustainability. She is currently a Director, ESG Specialist at Eastspring Investments Singapore. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, Joanne works across the equities, fixed income and private market investment teams to deepen ESG integration throughout the investment cycle. Her role spans the creation of proprietary ESG analysis tools, the design of ESG monitoring and engagement systems and ESG development.

Prior to joining Eastspring, she was Director, Sustainable Finance and Strategic Partnerships at Standard Chartered Bank where she contributed to growing the sustainable financing portfolio in Asia across sustainable debt, trade and derivative products. She was also involved in the establishment of market-making initiatives such as the Climate Impact X carbon credit marketplace. Joanne held the role of ESG Specialist at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank where she expanded its Sustainable Capital Markets Initiative, ensuring ESG and Climate integration across the investment cycle for capital market, loans and private equity products.

Joanne graduated with a PhD in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo’s Graduate Program in Sustainability Science.

 

Mr Martijn Hoogerwerf

Head of Sustainable Finance APAC

Martijn Hoogerwerf is Head of Sustainable Finance APAC at ING. Based in Singapore, Martijn joined ING’s Sustainable Finance team in 2019 with over 10 years of experience in the sustainable finance markets, where he took on a variety of climate-related investment and advisory roles during this period.

Prior to moving into the environmental finance space, Martijn spent eight years in Fortis’ Transportation & Logistics and the Strategic Development teams (now merged with ABN Amro) and focused on expanding its wholesale banking activities in Asia. He moved to Hong Kong in 2006 as part of his tenure with Fortis.

Martijn brings a unique blend of commercial banking knowledge, sustainability expertise, and APAC experience. He has been instrumental in ensuring Sustainable Finance is front and center in client facing functions, securing leading mandates, and driving the growth of ING’s Sustainable Finance activities in APAC. He is Chairman of ING’s APAC Sustainable Finance Forum, a member of ING’s Sustainable Finance Management Team and Sustainable Finance Quality Board.

Martijn holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona/Spain and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Ms Li Huishi

Senior Vice President, Sustainable Business

Huishi is a Senior Vice President within the Sustainable Business Team at UOB. In her role, she supports the development and delivery of the Group’s sustainable business strategy across UOB’s footprint. She works closely with stakeholders to foster understanding, and deliver on change and positive impacts.

Huishi spent the majority of her career in environmental consulting, working alongside clients on ESG due diligence, contaminated site assessments, and compliance audits across Asia Pacific. Prior to joining UOB, Huishi spent four years with another financial institution where she was responsible for establishing, driving and embedding sustainability risk capabilities within the corporate banking division. She also spent a stint at the Prime Minister’s Office. During her tenure, she developed a deeper understanding on the intricacies of climate change through her involvement in the UNFCCC negotiations and Singapore’s domestic mitigation efforts.

Huishi holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Adelaide, and Master of Engineering (Environmental) from the University of Melbourne.

Mr John Ho

John Ho is the Global Head of Legal, Financial Markets for Standard Chartered Bank (“SCB”), overseeing and providing legal advisory, transactional and documentation support for Financial Markets (FM) business globally for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), its branches and affiliates. Mr Ho is a member of Regulatory Working Group of the ACI FMA. Mr. Ho is also the co-chair of (1) the ISDA South East Asia Legal and Regulatory Committee and (2) the ISDA Asia Pacific ESG Working group.

He is an active participant in the industry’s Fintech events and is a public speaker on topics such as Central Bank Digital Currencies, Blockchain, Digital Assets, Financial Markets, Sustainability and Regulatory Reforms. He serves as a mentor to startups and co-authored a publication from the World Economic Forum called The Digital Currency Governance Consortium Whitepaper, published in November 2021. He is a also mentor for the UK FCA Sustainability TechSprint, FCA Digital Sandbox, R3 and LongHash.

Prior to joining SCB, Mr. Ho was the Managing Director Principal in the legal department of Bear Stearns (Japan), Ltd (“Bear Stearns”) where he supported the Asia franchise (including Tokyo, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, India and South-east Asia) from January 2003 to August 2008 covering various structured products and derivatives including equity derivatives, credit derivatives, fixed income and commodities.

Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Mr. Ho worked as Asia equity counsel for Lehman Brothers in Tokyo with experience dealing in convertibles, options, warrants, delta one products and other types of equity derivatives transactions, equity finance and equity capital markets.

He is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore since 1995 and he received his law degree from the National University of Singapore.

Mr Bilahari Kausikan

Bilahari Kausikan is currently Chairman of the Middle East Institute, an autonomous institute of the National University of Singapore. He has spent his entire career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During his 37 years in the Ministry, he served in a variety of appointments at home and abroad, including as Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, and as the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry. Raffles Institution, the University of Singapore and Columbia University in New York all attempted to educate him.

The Honorable Jonathan E. Kaplan

U.S. Ambassador to Singapore

Ambassador Kaplan is a prominent executive, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose career has spanned numerous industries. He was the co-founder and Chairperson of EducationSuperHighway, a nonprofit organization that brought high-speed internet to more than 49 million children in K-12 classrooms nationwide. Professionally, Ambassador Kaplan is best known for founding Pure Digital Technologies and inventing its revolutionary Flip video camera. In 2009, Cisco bought Pure Digital Technologies and he became Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Consumer Products Division.

Ambassador Kaplan was also the founding CEO of The Melt, a chain of fast-casual restaurants. Previously he was President and CEO of Sega.com and he was the founder and CEO of FamilyWonder, an entertainment and technology company.

Ambassador Kaplan was named Northern California 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and was named by Business Week among the Most Influential People on the Web in 2008. He earned a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Koon How is the Head of Markets Strategy at the Global Economics and Markets Research team at UOB, where he formulates forecasts and market views for foreign exchange (FX), commodities and interest rates. In addition to traditional FICC related research, Koon How is also a member of UOB’s Blockchain and Digital Assets (BCDA) taskforce. He has more than 25 years of financial markets experience across the key asset classes. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Koon How actively participates and moderates at various investment seminars and forums across the Asia Pacific region and is a regular commentator in key local and international print and broadcast media.

She has over 20 years of experience working in the technology investment sector in Silicon Valley, New York, and Singapore. She was a Portfolio Manager at Pictet Asset Management, where she specialized in investment in publicly listed technology companies in Asia prior to joining SCB 10X.

Mukaya was awarded the prestigious King’s Scholarship to study abroad. She graduated with honors from MIT, where she earned bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr Pradyumna Agrawal

Pradyumna Agrawal (Prady) is a Managing Director at Temasek and is currently responsible for Temasek’s blockchain venture building efforts and investments, with a focus on programmable money, digital asset tokenisation, decentralised identity and data, and Web 3 applications.

Prady is a Founding Team Member of LemmaTree, Affinidi, GoodWorker, Trustana, Marketnode, Partior, Menyala and Superscrypt, and represents Temasek on the Boards of these companies. He has previously represented Temasek on the Diem Council and the Boards of C2FO and GoJek.

Prady joined Temasek in 2013 and before his current role, he was involved in global financial services investing at Temasek, including the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Temasek, Prady was with Morgan Stanley as Vice President, Investment Banking. He started his career as an Analyst with Sharad Dalal & Co and has worked at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young.

Prady graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai, is a qualified Chartered Accountant from India and holds a Master of Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

 

Mr Chuan Jin Fong (CJ)

Chuan Jin (CJ) Fong is a Managing Director and the Head of APAC & EMEA Sales at GSR, one of the largest global digital assets market makers and trading shop. Before entering the crypto market CJ started his career on the trading floor in Hong Kong as a Fixed Income Structurer at Morgan Stanley before switching roles to head up Fixed Income Solutions for Morgan Stanley Private Bank in APAC. He also worked for Nomura Private Bank, where he focused on key client solutions in both public and private markets. CJ holds a double degree from Singapore Management University.

Muhamad Chatib Basri, is a former Minister of Finance of Indonesia. Previously he was the Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board.

He is a member of various International Advisory councils including the High-Level Advisory Group on Sustainable and Inclusive Recovery and Growth formed by the World Bank and the IMF in the face of dual crisis posed by COVID-19 pandemic and climate change; the World Bank Advisory Council on Gender and Development; Group Eminent Personalities of the OECD Development Centre and the Advisory Board, Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis, the Australian National University. He is also member of the Governing Board of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

His expertise is International Trade, Macroeconomics and Political Economy.

Mr Lutfey Siddiqi

Lutfey Siddiqi is a Visiting Professor-in-Practice at the London School of Economics where he also sits on the advisory boards of the Systemic Risk Centre, the foreign policy think-tank LSE IDEAS, and the Inclusion Initiative in the Behavioural Science department. He is an Emeritus Governor of LSE and a former member of LSE investment committee.

Concurrently, he is an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and advisory board member at the centre for governance and sustainability, NUS Business School.

He is a member of the governing board of UWC Atlantic College, Wales and a former member of the governing board of New City College Group, England.

Lutfey is a member of the World Economic Forum global future council on fiscal and monetary policy, having previously served on the councils for inclusive finance, capital markets, and infrastructure investment.

He was previously Global Head of Emerging Markets for Foreign Exchange, Rates & Credit at UBS Investment Bank where he was also the founding head of UBS Knowledge Network. Prior to that, he worked at Barclays and Deutsche bank in both London and Singapore.

 

Mr Kenneth Kan

Mr. Kenneth Kan is the Managing Partner and Deputy CEO at Dymon Asia Capital. With extensive experience in trading and portfolio management, he joined Dymon Asia in 2012 and has since played a vital role in the firm’s growth.

As Deputy CEO, Mr. Kan focuses on human and investor capital, overseeing the Business Development department, ESG efforts, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Communications, CSR, and Office Administration.

Mr. Kan’s industry involvement extends beyond his role at Dymon Asia. He serves on the Exco of the Financial Markets Association of Singapore (FMAS), where he also chairs the Education sub-committee. Furthermore, he actively participates in two working groups initiated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS): the Human Resources Industry Group and the Financial Sector Tripartite Committee. He is also a valued member of the SBAI ESG working group and holds the distinction of being an IBF Fellow.

Outside of his professional roles, Mr. Kan contributes to non-profit organizations as a board member of The Majurity Trust, Ray of Hope, and the Children’s Museum of Singapore. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Finance).

Through his leadership and expertise, Mr. Kenneth Kan continues to make a significant impact in the financial sector and the community.
