ACI FMA would like to inform the members of all affiliated Associations of an upcoming Webinar that will be organised by the Treasury Markets Association (TMA) in Hong Kong:
Trump’s Tariffs – Motivations, Endgame, and China’s Response
To be held via Zoom on 7th July at 17h00 HKT (11h00 CET) in English
Why is US President Donald J Trump so fixated upon tariffs? How can Trump’s antics and behaviours be predicted – to the extent that that is possible? How will, and how should, mainland China and Hong Kong respond to Trump?
This Webinar will feature a geopolitically and empirical political science-based dissection of Trump’s China and macroeconomic policies, as well as a robust forecast and discussion of a variety of implications of his policies for China (including Hong Kong). It will also shed light on the fact that the world is much larger than just China and the US – and that genuine diversification and supply chain de-risking (for both investors and entrepreneurs) require an intimate and substantive level of understanding of local and regional idiosyncrasies.
