Warmest greetings, and I hope that you and your loved ones are keeping well.

The Financial Markets Association of Singapore is proud to organise and invite you to participate in FMAS Trampoline Fund Charity Golf 2021. This has been our marquee fundraising event for the past 28 years and is where the “Financial Markets Gives Back” to charitable causes and long-term needs in our society. This year, we are excited to announce that the golf segment is making a comeback after a brief hiatus in 2020 due to Circuit Breaker measures.

This Charity event will be held over 2 days – the Golf segment will be held on Thursday, 26th August 2021 at Tanah Merah Country Club (Garden Course) in the afternoon and the Fireside Chat segment will be held on Tuesday, 31st August 2021 at The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre @ Wild Rice Funan where we are honoured to have Mr Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, grace the occasion as our Guest of Honour and participating in a fireside chat. A play titled “Don’t Call Me Mr Mari Kita” will be performed by Wild Rice after the fireside chat segment. Please go to this website for the play’s synopsis :https://www.wildrice.com.sg/event/29060-dont-call-him-mr-mari-kita/

The COVID-19 pandemic has indeed perpetuated and widened income inequality globally, and we hope that the FMAS Trampoline Fund Charity will provide a platform for Financial Markets practitioners to unite and help bridge this gap by channelling funds across various beneficiaries. The various categories of sponsorship entitlements are shown in the table below. We have partnered with The Majurity Trust (full IPC) in establishing an FMAS Trampoline Fund to enable the disadvantaged in society. The Majurity Trust will be the Fund Administrator for FMAS Trampoline Fund. For more information on The Majurity Trust, please refer to this website https://www.majurity.sg.

For our past sponsors and donors, we thank you for your support over the years, and look forward to your continued support as we come together to commemorate this significant Fund-Raising event on behalf of our Financial Markets industry.

The FMAS Trampoline Fund complements and strengthens existing funding support to non-profits who are stepping up to address longer-term needs in Singapore that will emerge post-COVID.

We have partnered The Majurity Trust (TMT), an IPC philanthropic organisation to assist FMAS Singapore in administering the FMAS Trampoline Fund.

The FMAS Trampoline Fund supports non-profit programmes and initiatives that address the longer-term needs of vulnerable people in Singapore, beyond the current Covid-19 crisis period.

The name of this fund was inspired by Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam and we want to provide a trampoline for people to bounce back.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on lives and livelihoods.
  • It is imperative that we look ahead to support vulnerable and the disadvantaged in society beyond the crisis.
  • The FMAS Trampoline Fund is structured to support initiatives that creates sustainable and lasting change in society to allow the disadvantaged to bounce back and emerge stronger out of this crisis

“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it”

This is a famous quote by Robert Swan regarding the environment. The imminent situation is the same for those who have been hit by COVID-19 directly, and indirectly. Started with a coronavirus, it has led to economic, financial and social suffering.

We take no chances in assuming that there is enough help. We are all out to galvanise the financial markets community and help the need with the creation of the FMAS Trampoline Fund.
